Serving A Widow Adopting An Orphan
The Organization:
Both Hands Foundation is a nonprofit organization that serves widows in the community in a very practical way, while raising funds to help orphans become adopted. Both Hands partners with Lifesong for Orphans whose mission is “to bring joy and purpose to orphans.”
Our Family:
We have sensed God’s calling for our family to adopt for
20 yrs. We have stepped out in faith and obedience to adopt a child from China.
We celebrated 26 yrs. of marriage in February. We have 3 wonderful daughters,
Brandy (28), Alexandria (24) & Carmen (12) and 4 beautiful grandchildren,
Seth (10), Savannah (6), Kalya (1) & Sophia (1 month, not pictured).
The Orphan:
We have been matched with a precious little boy living in China. Zhou
Zijian is approximately 18 months old and currently living in a foster home
with 10 other children in Beijing. Soon we will make our trip to Zhengzhou in
the Henan Province to meet him. We then travel to Guangzhou for official
paperwork where all China adoptions are finalized. Finally we will bring our
son home to join the rest of his forever family.
The Widow:
Mrs. Rosie Hosick, a widow living
in Columbia, IL. Rosie was a school bus driver for 40 yrs. Rosie has touched
and impacted many lives. She has opened her heart & home for over 20 yrs.
to family, friends and even homeless to care for them when in need. Rosie lost
her husband, Dale 22 yrs. ago to lung cancer. Today, Rosie’s home of 52 years
is in need of many
repairs.
“Father
to the fatherless and protector of the widows is God in his holy habitation.
God settles the solitary in a home.” Psalm 68:5-6
Our
Request is Simple…
Will you "sponsor" our family on this
project? We are not all called to
adopt, but we can play a role in serving widows and orphans. Think of fundraisers where people participate in a
marathon or golf tournament then ask for donations. With this project, instead
of playing, we’ll be working on a widow’s home.
All
supplies used to work on the widow’s home will prayerfully be donated or paid by
our family. 100% of the money you send will go toward our adoption cost – nothing will be
taken out for Both Hands or Lifesong’s administrative costs. The widow benefits, an orphan is brought closer to
home, and a group of our friends and family will spend the day serving others.
Please Join us in making a difference!
Thank you for your support. Your tax-deductible donation will make an impact!
Sincerely,
Tim & Francine
